During the last few months, our Celica intermittently had problems starting; it was fixed today. The problem was caused by an uninsulated ground wire touching a wire bundle containing the starter wire — over the years, friction wore away the insulation, and eventually occasionally grounded the starter wire. Because the failure was hard to reproduce, the fix was difficult to discover. |
